Each year, the auction division of the livestock department receives inquiries from exhibitors who are showing market animals and have hopes of making the auction sale. Frequently, the questions are oriented more towards the livestock show or scholarship program. With that in mind, we have listed a few of the frequently asked questions we receive and we have provided links to the location where the answers are located.

Helpful Information for Market Exhibitors
Market Show Rules and Regulations – once you click on this link, scroll down to “Youth Shows/Youth Market Shows” and select your species. This will open the section displaying the dates, rules, and classes you want to view.
Auction Caps / Species – including how many animals/species we anticipate making the sale. (Please realize that actual sale numbers/species are determined on the percent arrivals and may fluctuate somewhat.
Current Auction Results / Buyers – 2009 SALE INFORMATION IS ONLINE providing you with buyer information for your thank you note. Please send your thank you (addressed to them) to: Buyer Name, c/o State Fair of Texas, Livestock Office, PO Box 150009, Dallas, TX 75315. Note: If you have multiple buyers listed or add on contributors, it is imperative that you send a thank you for each buyer and contributor!
